To get ready for the simulation you will be conducting in class:

 

  1. Find the role you were assigned on the roles and goals handout for your simulation and read that section. You will need to keep your goals in mind as you prepare for the simulation.

     

  2. Read the simulation with your role in mind. Consider:
    - What are the pros and cons of each policy option?
    - Which policy option will you support in your role?
    - What are your best arguments for the policy option you will support?
    - What are your best arguments against the other policy options?

     

  3. In round 1 of the simulation, you will be asked to spend 30–60 seconds explaining your position: which option do you think the president should pursue and why. Use the space below to draft what you will say.
